Day 15:
I’m not going to write about what I did today. Instead, I’m going to describe you to how dinner went tonight.
We went to dinner at a place called Seasons 52. It was recommended by several people, so we figured we should check it out.
I stepped out of the car and immediately was in awe of the place. It had a Frank Lloyd Wright feel, but kind of a modern twist.
The hostess sat us at our table in the Napa Room. This room had a wall of wine bottles and then a full wall of windows. A single tea light candle lit up our table.
We started our meal off with rosemary-parmesan flat bread (a Seasons 52 specialty), crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms and edamame with green tea salt, which was fantastic. As for my entree, I was drawn to the swordfish. I’ve never had swordfish before and it sounded tasty. So I ordered it.
Our food arrived and my swordfish was placed in front of me. I looked down and wow, a nice big swordfish steak over steamed rice and vegetables with a ponzu and ginger glaze. I plunged my fork into the steak and put the piece of perfectly, tender swordfish in my mouth. It melted and so did I.
I savored every bite. My swordfish bar is set pretty high right now, so I’m kind of nervous to try swordfish again for a while. So I probably won’t. Unless it’s at Seasons 52.
Then dessert. Our server brought over a flight of shooter desserts. She described all of them and I went for the chocolate and mocha mousse. I am 100 percent satisfied.
