What are you giving up for Lent? Christen Nehmer, videographer for The Food Channel, is giving us her experience in going meatless. Follow along throughout the 40 days of Lent.

Day 17:

Today started super early. We had to be at the airport no later than 5:30 a.m., which means nothing too heavy for breakfast. Well, at least not right away.

When we go through security, my camera always has to get pulled aside and get swabbed. I don’t know exactly what they are checking for, but they always do it. So I’m waiting (in my Mickey Mouse hoodie) as the TSA guy opens the case and swabs down the camera.

He closed the case and said, ‘Food Channel, huh? You should really check out Zaza Coffee here in the airport.’

Turns out Zaza was in our terminal, so we all tried it. It was delicious. It paired nicely with my egg and cheese croissant from Brioche Doree, which was also fantastic. Oh, and don’t let me forget the hashbrown things from Burger King that I was craving.

I really didn’t eat too much the rest of the day and went to bed early, after the late nights we had covering the COEX conference. The rest was and still is much needed.

Breakfast: Egg and Cheese Croissant Hashbrowns from Burger King Café con Leche
Lunch: Veggie Sub from Subway
Dinner: Fried Tofu and Veggies with steamed rice
