Campbell's Teams Up with SIFE, CultureWaves to Raise Hunger Awareness

Campbell Soup Company is partnering with Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) to raise awareness of local hunger relief with the release of the Let’s Can Hunger widget. A basic code that can be installed on any web page or social networking site, the widget delivers a constant stream of fresh, relevant information on grassroots hunger relief efforts and the organizations and individuals who are making a difference.

The widget is fed by CultureWaves®, a global consumer-insights company, with collaboration from Campbell Soup Company and SIFE.

‘The Let’s Can Hunger widget calls attention to the unique ways in which local communities are fighting back against hunger,” said Andy Ford, Chief Insights Officer for CultureWaves. “We’re seeing articles on food rescue programs, innovative fundraising initiatives, food drive ‘how to’ tips, agency milestones, local heroes, and more. ‘The examples, trends, and techniques showcased via the widget are intended to be inspirational—ideas for how to make an impact in your own community during these difficult times,’ Ford explained.

The Let’s Can Hunger widget increases awareness of the Let’s Can Hunger Challenge. Sponsored by Campbell Soup Company, the Let’s Can Hunger Challenge is a competition that provides SIFE teams around the world with the opportunity to develop projects that address urgent and lasting hunger relief in local communities.

The Let’s Can Hunger widget is active at “www.letscanhunger.com”:http://www.letscanhunger.com; click on ‘Get Widget’ to capture the code. It has also been added to various widget distribution networks and is available to anyone with an interest in local hunger relief.
