FoodChannelPRO was officially unveiled Friday to media and food industry professionals gathered for the press conference in Chicago.
FoodChannelPRO Publisher Alan Gould (pictured below left), and Ellen Koteff, editor-in-chief, both formerly with Nation’s Restaurant News, were introduced. Also on hand and taking part in the presentation were Andy Ford, President of Noble Publishing and Chief Insights Officer, and Bob Noble, Founder and CEO of The Food Channel and Chairman of Noble.
The press conference included an announcement of the site’s industry, content and marketing partners, which include Johnson & Wales University, CultureWaves, MenuMax, Mintel International, Penton Media, the International Foodservice Manufacturer’s Association (IFMA), Manifest Digital, and Noble.
Leading off: ‘Leaders with Guts’
The new beta site, targeted to professionals in the food industry, kicks off with special edition that features a series of in-depth video interviews with legendary figures in the foodservice business. The “Leaders with Guts” series begins with a ten-part interview with Danny Meyer, founder of the Union Square Hospitality Group, home to some of New York City’s hottest and most well-reviewed restaurants. Meyer is interviewed by FoodChannelPRO editor-in-chief Ellen Koteff.
The press conference was followed by a wine and cheese reception on the eve of the National Restaurant Association Show, which commenced on Saturday at McCormick Place convention center in Chicago and runs through Tuesday, May 25th.
