SNA Show Preview: Pinnacle Foods Helps Schools to Juggle Nutrition, Fun and Flavor

Pinnacle Foods is totally on board with First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Campaign to end childhood obesity.

But when it comes to feeding hungry school children, it can be a real juggling act for the foodservice director, who’s trying to serve foods that are nutritious, fun, and great tasting. To show how Pinnacle Foods empathizes with this challenge, Waffelo, the company’s juggling jester mascot, will be on hand at the School Nutrition Association’s Annual National Conference performing his amazing juggling tricks at the Pinnacle booth (#157).

Studies have shown that eating a healthy breakfast actually helps to reduce obesity by regulating blood sugar and making you feel fuller longer. Pinnacle Foods is a member of the Whole Grains Council and has five products that carry the Whole Grains Council stamp.

Pinnacle Foods products such as Aunt Jemima whole grain frozen breakfast products and Lender’s 100% Whole Wheat bagels are examples of the company’s commitment to wholesome nutrition and healthy eating.

Representatives from Pinnacle Food Service will be available at the show to help schools learn how they can grow their breakfast programs with whole grain products that kids will love.

Show attendees are urged to ‘juggle’ their schedules to be sure to stop by Booth 157 and see Waffelo do his thing.

For more information on Pinnacle Food Service you can visit the company website.
