On November 1, join Share Our Strength for Bag Hunger Day and fight childhood hunger by donating the cost of your lunch that day. One dollar can help connect a hungry child with up to 10 healthy meals.
Here’s a challenge for you: can you give your lunch money for a day to help end childhood hunger? That’s what the nonprofit organization Share Our Strength is suggesting. The organization’s goal is to end childhood hunger in America by 2015.
To help accomplish that, they are encouraging people to take the “No Kid Hungry” pledge. Currently, more than 98,000 have taken the pledge online, agreeing that, “I believe that no child in America should go hungry. By pledging today, I add my voice to the national movement of people committed to ending childhood hunger in America by 2015.”
You can take the pledge at www.NoKidHungry.org–no donation needed. If you are interested in donating, join the Bag Childhood Hunger day on November 1. To participate, you simple donate the average cost of lunch to Share Our Strength. For more information or to donate, visit www.strength.org.
