Food is how we celebrate.
Case in point. This morning, right after the Oscar nominees were announced, The Today Show broadcast a live phone call with dual-nominee Brad Pitt (Best Actor for Moneyball and Producer for Tree of Life). With a voice that was obviously joyful he said, “It’s gonna be pancakes for everyone this morning, I’ll tell you that.”
So, if you want to celebrate like Brad Pitt, maybe you, too, would like some pancakes. You might build a great Oscars party around the theme, or simply treat your family to their own award-winning meal.
Here are a couple of great pancake recipes to get you started.
Bob’s Blueberry Pancakes (a Food Channel favorite), with Blueberry Syrup
Or, try this food TV recipe for a pancake soufflé. It’s been a heavily searched item this week, and we like the treatment given to the recipe by Doughmesstic.
The 84th Academy Awards will be held Sunday, February 26 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, with Billy Crystal as the host of the ceremonies.
Wonder if there will be enough pancakes to go around.
