Crossing Snapple with Jelly Belly

It almost sounds like a joke. What do you get when you cross a Snapple drink with a Jelly Belly jelly bean?

But it’s no joke, just an imaginative cross pollination. Jelly Belly jelly beans and Snapple beverages—two brands known for their creative flavors—have joined forces in the rollout of five new jelly beans inspired by Snapple.

The new candy flavors are Fruit Punch Mango Madness, Cranberry Raspberry, Pink Lemonade and Kiwi Strawberry. The jelly bean packaging is prominently marked with both the Jelly Belly and Snapple brand logos.

The two brands view this venture as an ideal way for Jelly Belly fans to sample Snapple drinks and vice versa.

“Jelly Belly sought to capture the essence of popular Snapple flavors in a jelly bean with the Jelly Belly Snapple Mix,” said Rob Swaigen, vice president of marketing for Jelly Belly Candy Company. “We used the flavors and juices found in Snapple juice drinks, so the flavor is noticeably true to life.”

According to Jelly Belly, the beans are made with real fruit juices and purees, 100% natural flavors and colors from natural sources.

Available through Jelly Belly’s online candy store, there are a variety of packages to choose from, including cool little Snapple bottle-shaped containers.
