NYC Restaurant Promotes Instagram Menu


Some restaurants are not crazy about diners/amateur photographers using their smart phones to snap pictures of their culinary creations to share with friends via social media.

New York City restaurant Comodo fully embraces the idea.

Comodo encourages customers to fire away with their phones and share their meals visually using Instagram, the popular photo-sharing service.

By tagging their photos with the restaurant’s hashtag #comodonyc, diners create a crowdsourced visual menu of the eatery’s offerings.

Instagram has acquired a reputation for creative and sometimes “artsy” photography, so it’s a rather trendy environment for a restaurant’s culinary creations to be seen…and a pretty cool new advertising opportunity.
