Online Voting Promotes Involvement in Pillsbury’s Bake-Off Contest

By

Let the voting begin! For the first time since establishment of the Pillsbury Bake-Off competition in 1949, the public will determine the top 100 finalists through online voting. With numerous recipes and creative cooks from which to choose, Pillsbury is asking for America’s help! This is the 46th annual event, and it is apparently changing with the times.

The Sweets and Starters category is officially open for online voting through Thursday, June 27. Voters have the opportunity to choose from 60 original recipes submitted by home cooks, both men and women, from across the United States.

Only 34 of them will advance to the finals, which will take place November 10-12 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. That’s where 100 finalists from various categories will battle it out for a grand prize of $1 million.

Interested in taking part in the competition? It’s not too late. The Quick Rise & Shine category will begin accepting original recipe submissions on Thursday, July 4.

To encourage simplicity, recipes must take no longer than 30 minutes to prepare and consist of seven or fewer ingredients.
