When you think of Margaritas you probably think warm summer days, a beach, and a few tacos, all things that pair well with the classic cocktail. But, what you probably don’t think of is nail polish.
When we saw the Bahama Breeze Island Grille, in Orlando was celebrating National Margarita Day with, that’s right, nail polish, we were intrigued. This year, along with its discounted Classic Margaritas, the Bahama Breeze Island Grille is releasing a line of nail polish colors inspired by 3 of the restaurant’s margarita selections.
On the Rocks is a lime colored nail polish that is inspired by the Classic Margarita served by Bahama Breeze.
Hot for Hibiscus Margaritas is a summery fuchsia hue that was inspired by the drink of the same name.
(Blood) Orange Ya Thirsty?! Is a bold and vibrant blood orange shade, inspired by the restaurants shareable Mighty Orange Blood Orange Margarita.
The colors created by the restaurant are vibrant and not traditionally popular hues, but they do give off island and summer vibes, which makes me crave a margarita. Bahama Breeze may also be tapping into the Instagram market, by providing patrons with a nail polish matching a drink, perfectly suiting the patron for a good photo opportunity.
The collection was created in partnership with SOPHi, which is a natural, non-toxic, odorless and hypoallergenic nail polish brand, which means it will be safe for the majority of patrons. There is a limited quantity of only 500 nail polishes available, and the party starts February 22nd at 10 a.m.
With over 75 percent of Americans saying they enjoy a margarita, restaurants and bars are more than happy to help meet that demand, but also have to find unique ways to keep the excitement going.
