To make great tasting barbecued brisket, combine a can of beer, a package of Williams Chili Seasoning, a can of tomato paste and a little brown sugar; pour over a brisket and bake for 3 ½ to 4 hours. Pile the thinly sliced brisket on buns and top with barbecue sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 (4-pound) beef brisket, well trimmed
- 1 can (12 ounces) beer, at room temperature
- 1 package (1 ounce) Williams Chili Seasoning
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Hamburger or hoagie buns
- Barbecue sauce
Preparation
- 1 Place brisket in roasting pan.
- 2 Combine beer, Williams Chili Seasoning, tomato paste, brown sugar and salt in a deep bowl; whisk to combine. Pour mixture over brisket.
- 3 Cover and bake at 325° about 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until meat is tender.
- 4 Remove meat from drippings and thinly slice. Serve meat on buns and top with barbecue sauce.
