There’s nothing like cozying up with a good mystery over the holidays, especially with a plate of cookies at your side. Well…there’s no mystery here–buttery cookies are part of what builds Christmas memories. Try these cookies that taste like a fresh orange, and you’ll have kids guessing to see how you made them.
Better yet, bring them into the kitchen and let them roll the dough into balls. Before baking, press in sprinkles, chocolate jimmies, almonds. Or, when they are cool, you can even add icing and decorate them, or dip them into melted chocolate. Each one can be a surprise!
Note: This recipe is adapted from an old recipe requiring a cookie press. If you have one and want to use it, simply add completed dough to your press. Then, using the plate with a narrow slit, press rows of strips onto a parchment covered baking sheet. Cut into the size you desire before baking.
