Salted Honey Macchiato

At The Food Channel , we’ve noticed a definite trend in making your own signature coffee brews at home. For instance, this recipe for a Salted Honey Macchiato from our friends at the National Honey Board .
Milk, espresso, honey, kosher salt and ice—who could ask for anything more? I guess Ethel Merman (and that should send a few of you down the rabbit hole), but for the rest of us, it’s divine in itself!

20 ounces
milk
8 ounces
expresso
5 ounces
honey
1 teaspoon
Kosher salt
As needed
ice, crushed

While hot, mix expresso and 4 tablespoons of the honey, adding milk once completely incorporated.

In a separate glass, mix together the remaining honey and salt to make salted honey.

To serve, drizzle the salted honey on the side of the glass, pour crushed ice into the glass and then pour the milk mixture into the glass.
