This is the second of our hot toddy recipes celebrating this month’s National Hot Toddy Day. Whether or not it can cure the common cold, as was once thought, I’m sure it at least helped reduce the sting. See a brief history of the toddy here.

Ingredients

Ginger Toddy

  • 1.5 Ounces Bulleit Bourbon
  • 0.5 Ounces Ginger Tarragon Syrup*
  • As desired Lemon peel and Tarragon for garnish

Preparation

Add bourbon and tarragon syrup to Irish Coffee Mug. Fill with Hot Water.

Ginger Tarragon Syrup

  • 1 Syrup made with fresh ginger, boiled lemon zest, lemon juice sugar cane and tarragon. Reduce all ingredients over high heat for 10 minutes and then slowly add the tarragon to taste till the sweetness and acidity balance.
