90 Second Apple Pear Butter

90 Second Apple Pear Butter

Want to make something yummy, and make the house smell delicious?  I’m Chef Cari with The Food Channel and this Apple Pear Butter will do just that.  Come on!

Gather your pears and apples. Core them and dice into large chunks, be sure not to peel them first. Bartlett pears work nicely for this because of their texture. Also, the cut pieces should be fairly uniform in their size to ensure even cooking.

Once fruit is in the saucepot, pour in apple cider, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until the fruit is soft, about 30 minutes. Now it’s time for the good stuff: brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and ground ginger.

Carefully use an immersion blender to puree, make sure you get all the chunks!  And then a little lemon juice to finish it off. Now you just package it up. This will keep for about 30 days in the refrigerator.  Enjoy!

Now, you saw how easy that was . . .

Now get in the kitchen!
