In these days of concern over the environmental aspects of water, we are all learning to appreciate the basics. Clean water, good taste. It’s the little things that make us realize how good we actually have it! And now, in keeping with the growing trend of Sensory Appeal, designer Hyun Ko has brought some visual beauty to the experience of drinking water. Blooming Water works by using a straw to pierce a thin barrier over the top of the cup. The puncture releases a colorful juice concentrate, which forms unique patterns as it mixes with the water. For a drink that is usually colorless and shapeless, this new design element brings out the beauty of water and helps us pause to appreciate it.
