Looking for gluten-free products? Now Twin Hens has introduced a gluten-free beef pot pie that uses organic cornmeal for the topping along with rice flour and rice starch in the gravy.

The product also features grass-fed, hormone- and antibiotic-free beef as well as organic carrots and onions. Suggested retail price for the 11-ounce, single serving pot pie is $8.95.

Twin Hens is owned by Linda Twining and Kathy Herring. The two have been the subject of numerous news articles because of their commitment to organic, range-free, and now gluten-free products. Their pot pies are carried in retails stores such as Whole Foods Markets and Dean & Deluca, plus are available online.

The Gluten-Free Beef Pot Pie is described as “a winning combination of a hearty beef stew with a cheesy polenta topping.” The company also carries a Beef Pot Pie with a regular pastry crust.

The two women are trained chefs (Twining from Peter Kumps Culinary Arts School; Herring from La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine) who began teaching cooking classes and previously operated a frozen dinner delivery business using organic and local produce and products.
