Everyone’s going green. Including, it appears, royalty. The Daily Mail in Great Britain is reporting that Prince Charles has had his blue Aston Martin DB6 converted to green, meaning it now runs on bioethanol fuel.
It’s not that he drives the classic car that often, but when he does, it now runs on fuel distilled from surplus British wine. Apparently the vineyard is prohibited from producing more than its allowed quota, so the excess wine goes to biofuels supplier Green Fuels.
According to the report, the Prince also has implemented other green measures at his homes, “such as reed bed sewage systems and wood-chip boilers.”
