This structure, as designed by SOA Architects, is being reported by the Telegraph as a possibility for the New York sky. The report says that officials are studying whether or not a farm skyscraper would be viable.
The idea is being touted by Dr. Dickson Despommier, a professor of public health at Columbia University. His ivory tower image would be enough to grow food for 50,000 people while cutting energy use, food production costs, and transportation costs for urban areas.
