Fresh Fish

I don’t remember ever getting my fill of seafood, and a recent trip to Florida kept that record intact. We ate at a total of 12 restaurants serving seafood. I ate shrimp, scallops, flounder, crab cakes, crab stuffing, mahi-mahi, mussels, clam chowder, halibut, grouper and stuffed shrimp. Several times. I tried a fish BLT and a fish Reuben. I had clam chowder and crab dip.

And I could do it all again tomorrow.

There is just something about the freshness of fish on the coast. Living in a landlocked city the way I do, I pretty much have a rule about eating fish here: don’t. So, when I visit an oceanside city, I’m all about the seafood and the fish.

The above photos were taken along the Sunglow Pier on our way to Crabby Joe’s—one of the fun seafood places you’ll want to visit, even if it is virtually.

If you want to catch up on all those experiences, the links are below. If you weren’t already planning a trip to Daytona Beach, this just may be what sends you over the edge of the dock!
