Perfect Seafood Sides

When serving fish, think about the balance that the perfect side dishes can bring. You want to go beyond French fries and fried fish!

Citrus on a green vegetable works well, as in our Orange Roasted Asparagus.

Fish tend to be lighter and often part of a weight-watching meal plan, so don’t spoil it by adding heavy potatoes. Instead, think about these Roasted Potatoes with Grilled Peppers & Onions.

Or, this Grilled Potato Salad that complements a grilled fish.

Try these colorful Roasted Corn Kabobs. They add a dimension of both flavor and variety. Or, for corn with some new flavor excitement, this Grilled Corn on the Cob with a variety of flavored butters.

For something a little different, try Grilled Eggplant with Red Onion to really combine the fresh-from-the-sea with the fresh-from-the-garden!

Keep your fish pure, and add the sauce to the side dish with these flavorful Green Beans with Mustard Sauce.

What better side for seafood than one that uses sea salt? These Radishes and Sea Salt are simple with just the right fresh flavor to go along with your daily catch.

It’s OK to mix cuisines, so go ahead and introduce the Mediterranean Couscous with Almonds and Raisins in place of side dish or salad.

Another idea is this dish of Roasted Carrots with Fresh Cranberries. Yum!

And, of course, with any fish dish a great, crusty bread works – especially with a flavored butter that gives you a sweet sensation to cool off the spice or blackening that may be used on the fish. Try these Cheddar Chive Scones for something different.

No matter which sides you choose, your new menu will be a hit for flavor, health, value and fun!
