They say it’s “the best seat outside the stadium.” In other words, at Champps Americana the sports lover can get it all. A good table in full view of the many flat screens, good food, and refills as needed!
Champps was founded over 25 years ago and currently operates 45 sports-themed restaurants in 18 states. Champps restaurants feature a large menu of made-from-scratch American favorites including fresh burgers, pasta, and sandwiches, plus a full-service bar in every location. We checked out the menu ourselves with a selection of appetizers, like the Crab Bread, which was a plentiful portion of tasty French bread slathered with crab salad then covered with cheese and toasted. It was an unusual appetizer and we finished it off, no problem.
We also recommend the Spinach and Roasted Artichoke Dip made with Asiago cheese, and served with white corn tortilla chips, or, if you want something house-made, try the Loaded Chips with cheddar, pepperjack and mozzarella cheeses, drizzled with Asiago cream sauce and topped with applewood-smoked bacon, green onions and sour cream. Or the Pulled Pork Sliders. And, our favorite, the Chicken Satay.
If you are in the mood for more, try the Walnut Crusted Chicken made with walnut pieces and hazelnut pecan sauce. Or the Champps’ Americana Chopped Salad. It’s field greens tossed with grilled chicken, bleu cheese, honey balsamic vinaigrette, applewood-smoked bacon, dried cranberries, sliced apples and candied pecans. Or, go for any of the pastas, steaks, or burgers—like the Shroom Burger, or the Firehouse, or the new Bruschetta Burger—all self-explanatory and nicely presented.
It’s a nice, upscale bar menu and you can’t go wrong. In fact, do what we did—ask your server to just bring you a selection that will delight you!
And enjoy the game.
