See our review of Francesca’s on Chestnut.
A popular Chicago restaurant is expanding its reach nationally. Francesca’s Restaurants first opened on Clark Streetin 1992 with the original Mia Francesca, and now claims a total of 20 locations throughout Chicago and suburbs.
Over the course of this next year, the Italian eatery has announced plans to expand nationwide. The first expansion has already opened in Madison, WI; new sites are planned for Scottsdale, AZ, San Diego, CA and Raleigh, NC.
According to the company, “The Francesca’s claim to fame that has made this rustic Italian restaurant brand wildly popular among diners is their simple yet effective business model: Create delicious dishes at an affordable price. Their menus also change every two weeks with new selections. Everything is seasonal, fresh and delicious; Francesca’s is constantly evolving, which is a reason why diners enjoy their experience time and time again.”
Company helmsman Scott Harris adds, ‘I wanted to create a dining experience for people where it could feel like their neighborhood spot. I wanted to provide great food at a modest price. Chicago loved our first restaurant on Clark Street so we continued to expand to various neighborhoods throughout Chicagoland and no two Francesca’s restaurants are the same.’
