When The Food Channel Store opened earlier this year, we were excited to make specialty foods made in Israel the first items for sale in the World Market section of the online shop.
It seems our media colleagues thousands of miles away in the Holy Land have taken note of this marketing development.
A feature story in the Jerusalem Post provides its readers with a bit of background about how the Israeli products—which were not yet well-known in the USA— made their way to our shores, and into The Food Channel Store.
The Post is Israel’s best-selling English-language daily and most-read English website.
The story quotes Gary Summers, CEO of U.S.-based consulting firm Nehemiah Group. Summers has numerous business interests in the State of Israel.
Currently, two Israeli-made lines of gourmet food products are sold in The Food Channel’s World Market: Aunt Berta’s kosher sauces, preserves, cookies and crackers; and Fruits of Galilee preserves and marmalades.
