Mario Batali staged a Spaghetti Western party last week in Ft Worth, Texas. The private dinner was one of the many of the festivities gearing up for the Super Bowl.

Attendees at the star-studded event included chef Emeril Lagasse and Guy Fieri of the Food Network, Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, and players from the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.

Everyone feasted on Mario’s Apple Macallan Fritters! The fritters, made with 12-year-old Macallan Oak Sherry, were apparently the hit of the evening.

Now Chef Batali has graciously decided to share his recipe with the world, which he suggests would be a wonderful choice for dessert on Valentine’s Day.
