All chefs have to begin somewhere, whether it’s in the back of house as a dishwasher or learning first hand from their grandmother. In Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s case, he learned to appreciate cooking while sitting at the kitchen table with his grandmother cooking right in front of him. Chef Ludo is the owner/creator of LudoBites, a mobile food experience driven by his imagination. (http://www.ludolefebvre.com/ludobites) LudoBites is a pop-up style restaurant fueled by MobiMunch and has been touring different parts of Los Angeles since 2007.
In 2005, Chef Ludo released his first cookbook, “Crave: The Feast of the Five Senses.” The recipes fall into certain categories within the five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell and hear. Chef Ludo’s cookbook showcases his passion for the way food can make you feel.
Chef Ludo has been nominated for the Rising Star Chef Award by the James Beard Foundation and has been named one of the World’s 50 Greatest Chefs by Relais and Chateaux. Chef Ludo has also appeared on popular TV shows including Iron Chef, Top Chef Masters and the Today Show.
The sky is the limit for this chef and to think it all began in his early childhood when his grandmother would make him do his homework in the kitchen.
