We have 12 – count ‘em – 12 new holiday recipes for you to add to your list for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any special occasion you have coming up!
Our Food Channel chefs and culinary artists have been busy cooking up these great ideas that offer you a traditional holiday meal with a bit of a contemporary twist. One of the biggest requests we get is for inspiration around recreating a meal “just like grandma used to make,” so we gathered our resources to bring to life an old-fashioned Sage Butter Roasted Turkey and a Holiday Apple Pie. We took the traditional mashed potatoes and made them with creamy Yukon Gold potatoes, and we put cranberries—a holiday mainstay—on crostini instead of in a salad or molded dish.
Some of the best trends in food are represented here . . . just because we could! Pickling is big (and Grandma would approve), so we brought you several pickled recipes, including one for yummy Pickled Autumn Vegetables
We’ve also found that, while we want that traditional meal, we don’t eat our holiday meals in the traditional manner. It’s not always one big family sitting down—it may be friends from all over the world, gathering to celebrate together. These days your “family” is whatever you want it to be, and the food that is shared gets the same consideration.
All of the traditional flavors are here, from pan gravy to pumpkin, only with a contemporary feel that will create memories for years to come. So whether you are contributing a dish to a big potluck with family and friends, or are in charge of the whole event, here are our ideas for a holiday meal that will stand the test of time! Here are the links to all twelve great recipes. Try just one, or try them all!
