Annual Grammy Awards: Cocktails Inspired by Nominees

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 28th, 2018 and the nominees are set to battle. The show will be broadcast live from the Madison Square Garden in New York City and it will be the first time since 2003 that the ceremony will be held outside Los Angeles! With James Corden set to host, and the superstar-packed lineup of nominees and performers, the Grammy's will be an exciting event that you won't want to miss. That's why our friends at renowned bars, STK Downtown, Midtown and STK Los Angeles, have created signature cocktail recipes based on four of the hottest nominees! So, taste, experience and enjoy as you watch this year's Annual Grammy Awards.

Nominees: Luis Fonsi and Justin Bieber, “Despacito”

The drink mixes a little bit of sweet, with a twang of smooth Tito’s Handmade Vodka, yuzu juice, simple syrup and a slice of spicy Jalapeno.

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Tito’s Handmade Vodka

.5 oz. Yuzu Juice

.5 oz. Simple Syrup

1 Jalapeno Slice

Directions: Muddle Jalapeno in a shaker, combine Tito’s, Yuzu Juice and Simple Syrup. Strain over ice in rocks glass. Garnish with jalapeno.

24k Magic

Nominee: Bruno Mars, “24K Magic”

“Take your sip, do your dip,” with ginger liqueur, simple syrup & Lemon Juice.  This drink serves 24k magic in the air all night long.

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Anejo Tequila

.5 oz. Ginger Liqueur

.5 oz. Simple Syrup

.5 oz. Lemon Juice

Directions: Combine Anejo Tequila, Ginger Liqueur, Simple Syrup and Lemon Juice in shaker with ice. Strain into martini glass. Garnish with lemon peel.

What’s our issue? We can’t decide whether to mix our cocktail with Tequila or Vodka… so we let you choose. Made with St. Germain, lime, simple syrup, cucumber, muddled mint and the spirit of your choice.

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Spirit of Your Choice (vodka OR tequila)

.75 oz. St. Germain

.75 oz. Lime Juice

.75 oz. Simple Syrup

2 Sliced Cucumbers

6 Mint Leaves

Directions: Muddle mint and cucumber with lime juice and add simple syrup. Add Vodka and St. Germain. Shake and strain into martini glass and garnish with cucumber.

Nominee: Lady Gaga “Million Reasons”

Raise a glass with the “Million Reasons…To Drink” – a spin off the classic Long Island Iced Tea with earl grey syrup.

Ingredients:

1 oz. Light Rum

1 oz. Tequila

1 oz. Gin

1 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Earl Grey Syrup

.5 oz. Lemon Juice

Directions: Combine all ingredients and pour over ice in Collins glass.
