- 1 1/2 pounds tender green beans
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 or 3 small garlic cloves, peeled
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Melt butter and olive oil with the garlic
- 2 Cook green beans in a large pot of boiling water until just tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- 3 Drain and toss with garlic butter and seasonings.
- 4 Serve immediately.
