This Autumnal Spiced Maple Cake is a fluffy and delicate dessert made with pure maple syrup, brown sugar and the flavors of fall.

Ingredients
- 7/8 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (or more to taste)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- A pinch of nutmeg powder
Preparation
- 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees f
- 2 Line a square pan with parchment paper
- 3 Whisk flour and baking powder in a bowl
- 4 In large bowl, mix sugar, melted butter and maple syrup
- 5 Beat in eggs one at a time
- 6 Stir in flour gently until combined
- 7 Bake for 27-30 mins, until toothpick comes out clean (the cake should feel firm and spongy)
