THE FOOD CHANNEL® LAUNCHES RECIPE WIDGET
Now available offering daily updates for food sites
CHICAGO (October 7, 2008) The Food Channel® is now delivering fresh recipes daily to foodies across the Web via a newly released Recipe Widget. The widget is basic code that can be installed on any html-based web page, providing a visual image of new recipes with automatic updates fed directly from www.foodchannel.com. The Recipe Widget delivers recipes created by The Kitchens of The Food Channel as well as tested recipes from trusted partner sites. The application follows the successful launch of the Food Trends Widget unveiled by The Food Channel last month.
“This is a great way for food bloggers and other food lovers online to get fresh, on-trend recipes,” said The Food Channel Editor Kay Logsdon. “The Food Channel is a name users recognize, with quality photos and content, fed to them easily with daily additions.”
The Recipe Widget follows The Food Channel’s Food Trends Widget, which has been placed on food, fashion and lifestyle sites, including www.fohboh.com, www.savannahnow.com, www.foodchannel.com.au, www.foodservicerewards.org and www.kittenlounge.onsugar.com. Sites that upload either widget may receive a reciprocal link and be featured on the pages of The Food Channel.
The Food Channel has a 20-year history of working within the foodservice business, and in January 2008 launched its interactive consumer site as a “gateway to all things food” offering a continually updating network of food news, recipes, trend tracking, professional tips, reviews and consumer-driven thoughts and activities.
