It’s Autumn once again, which means a shake-up and swap-out of summer flavors, dishes, and trends. So, what’s on the horizon for seasonal flavors this year? All things maple.
This year, pumpkin spice is getting seasonal competition from maple! Though not as prominent yet as pumpkin spice, maple is up 85% in the nonalcoholic beverage section and up 14.6% in alcoholic beverages. Starbucks recently debuted its new Starbucks Maple Pecan Latte, highlighting the popular flavor on its iconic seasonal beverage menu.
So, how can you get in on the maple flavored action? Try it at home! Maple Guild Syrup recently created its Maple It Recipe Contest inviting anyone to submit a barbecue, beverage or baked good recipe using its Maple Guild maple syrup.
The Food Channel loved the idea and, to give you some inspiration at home, below are a few of our favorite submissions to the Maple It Recipe Contest!
