It’s National Cherry Pie Day and we celebrate the delicious heritage around this favorite fruit. According to the American Pie Council although pies, themselves, have been around for centuries, we can thank Queen Elizabeth I for the first cherry pie. The tradition was then brought to America by British settlers.
