Ingredients
- CRUST: 1 Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix (reserve 1 cup of mix, set aside)
- 1 Stick of butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- FILLING: 1 16 ounce can of pumpkin
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- TOPPING: 1 cup (leftover) cake mix
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 stick butter, softened
Preparation
- 1 CRUST: Mix well and spread mixture into a greased 9 X 13 baking pan. Do not worry about packing the mixture down so it's firm, unless you want to be able to cut this into bars.
- 2 FILLING: Mix all ingredients together and spread the filling over the crust.
- 3 TOPPING: Mix all topping ingredients and crumble over the filling. Bake at 350ºF for 50-60 minutes. Cool and serve with whipped cream on top.
