September 28, 2017, is the first-ever, official, National Bakery Day!
Baking is a diverse business, even if we traditionally think of sweets and pastries, the gamut of food we ‘bake’ is extensive, as is the history of baking. Did you know that chocolate chips were invented after the chocolate chip cookie? Or that German Chocolate Cake has nothing to do with Germany? The baking world is wild!
In celebration of this ‘sweet’ new holiday, and to pay homage to all bakers that came before us, The Food Channel offers our favorite bakery-inspired recipes to help you celebrate at home.
