With holiday season in full swing, it’s great for home mixologists to have a wide range of cocktail recipes and options to wow your guests. This is another recipe in a series of holiday cocktail inspirations from some of the top resort mixologists in the United States.

This is a recipe for the 1602 Alexander from Henry’s Hotel Bar at Harbor View Hotel (Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.)

Ingredients

Cocktail Recipe

  • 1 ½ ounces Copper & Kings brandy
  • ½  ounce Dark crème de cacao
  • 1 ½  ounces Lavender + Clove Infused Honey Milk (recipe follows)*
  • As needed Dark chocolate, grated

Lavender and Clove Infused Honey Milk

  • ½ cup Dried lavender
  • ½ cup Cloves
  • ¾ quart Milk
  • ¼ quart Honey syrup (1:1 honey/water)

Preparation

Cocktail Recipe

  • 1 Shake all ingredients very well with ice and strain into a coupe glass.
  • 2 Garnish with freshly grated dark chocolate.

Lavender and Clove Infused Honey Milk

  • 1 Combine all ingredients in a quart container, shake, and allow to sit for at least 48 hours.
  • 2 Strain out solids and re-bottle.
