With Father’s Day on the horizon in the United States, we’ve pulled together some delicious food and beverage recipes for your celebration.
I was lucky enough to have the guidance and shared wisdom of my father for many decades. He tried to teach me how to play golf (net/net I’m a better caddy), baseball (I got hit in the head with the first pitch, so that pretty much did me in), basketball (couldn’t walk and chew gum at the same time), and I think he intuitively knew, because of my tall, slim build, that football and hockey were probably not for me.
Make Some Memories
We spent many happy weekends fishing, going to visit my grandparents and playing golf (he played, I watched). He made a mean homemade ice cream that took hours of work, taught himself how to do beautiful stained-glass art, and could take a car engine apart and put it back together in no time. I wish everyone could have such strong, positive role models in their lives. If you do, let them know this Father’s Day how much you appreciate them. And don’t forget to show some appreciation with a great spread of food and drink!
